Isiolo Governor Abdi Hassan Guyo has confirmed that the acting Director of Revenue Services, Ali Godana, who went missing last weekend, has been found alive and is now receiving medical care.

Ali was reported missing after being taken from outside his home last Saturday at around 5 pm.

His safe return brings relief to his family, colleagues, and the wider Isiolo community, all of whom had been anxiously awaiting news.

The governor on Friday night thanked everyone who offered prayers and support during this trying time, including residents, community leaders, civil society groups, and friends from across Kenya.

Despite this positive update, serious concerns remain over the disappearance of another man, Abdullahi Bosso, who was reportedly taken on Friday, May 9, around 1 pm on the Kinna-Kulamawe road by people believed to be security officers.

Governor Guyo has called on security agencies to urgently explain Bosso’s whereabouts.

"If he is in custody, he must be either released or presented in court without delay, according to the Constitution and due process," the governor emphasized.

The families of both men had not received any official information about their loved ones’ conditions or locations, causing great distress.

"This is part of a worrying trend of enforced disappearances that threatens the rights and safety of all Kenyans," Guyo said, condemning such acts as violations of dignity and constitutional rights.

The Governor also criticized security personnel, saying these actions contradict President William Ruto’s earlier promise that his administration would not tolerate abductions.

The governor urged human rights organizations, government oversight bodies, and the public to speak out against these abuses.

"Justice must be done and seen to be done," he said.

The county boss further called for calm and unity among all residents as authorities pursue justice and accountability through legal means.

"Let us stand together to protect the rule of law and the dignity of every person," Governor Guyo added.
